Hello,

The review of your app is taking longer than expected. Once we have completed our review, we will notify you via Resolution Center.

If you would like to inquire about the status of this review, you may file a request via the Apple Developer Contact Us page.

Best regards,

App Store Review

The email description is very clear. The new account has been investigated and needs to take longer to review.

I went online to check the relevant information and found that everyone was confused. This should be Apple's latest audit strategy, and there was no clear handling method on the Internet.

Because we were anxious to get on the shelf, we chose to resubmit a build and request review again, but we received the same reply the next day.

The general meaning of the email is, don't worry, your App hasn't found any violations yet, just review the account as a routine and wait patiently.

Hello,

We are writing to let you know that we have completed our investigation of your Apple Developer Program account. You may now submit apps for review, and we will continue with the review of this app. If we find any issues during our review, we will communicate them via Resolution Center. Otherwise, your app will be approved.

Please note that all apps submitted to the App Store are reviewed against the App Store Review Guidelines, including the Developer Code of Conduct.

You can avoid future investigations by ensuring your apps don't attempt to mislead or harm customers or undermine the review process. Be sure to review the App Store Review Guidelines and read the Developer Code of Conduct so you understand our requirements prior to submitting any apps for review.

Best regards,

App Store Review

After the account review, we will review your App.

A few hours later, I received the following reply.

Guideline 2.1 - Performance - App Completeness

We are unable to complete the review of your app because one or more of your in-app purchase products have not been submitted for review.

Next Steps

To resolve this issue, please be sure to take action and submit your in-app purchases and upload a new binary in App Store Connect. Learn more about how to offer in-app purchases in App Store Connect Developer Help.

Once you've submitted your in-app purchases and uploaded a new binary, we can proceed with your review.

Guideline 2.1 - Information Needed

We have started the review of your app, but we are not able to continue because we need access to a video that demonstrates the current version of your app in use on a physical iOS device.

Please only include footage in your demo video of your app running on a physical iOS device, and not on a simulator. It is acceptable to use a screen recorder to capture footage of your app in use. Make sure all relevant app features, services, and permissions are clearly documented in the demo video. Specifically, please provide a demo video to demonstrate your app's Background Location feature. Please make sure to press the Home Button to show the background mode in use.

Next Steps

To help us proceed with the review of your app, please provide us with a link to a demo video in the App Review Information section of App Store Connect and reply to this message in Resolution Center.

To provide a link to a demo video:

- Log in to App Store Connect
- Click on "My Apps"
- Select your app
- Click on the app version on the left side of the screen
- Scroll down to "App Review Information"
- Provide demo video access details in the "Notes" section
- Once you've completed all changes, click the "Save" button at the top of the Version Information page.

Please note that in the event that your app may only be reviewed by means of a demo video, you will be required to provide an updated demo video with every resubmission.

Please see attached screenshots for details.

It can be found that the normal App audit process has started.

Next, we provide the corresponding demo video and the modification scheme for the rejection reason, resubmit the build, and then review and publish it.

summary

  1. Encounter "other", "The review of your app is taking longer than expected. Once we have completed our review, we will notify you via Resolution Center.", Be clear. Don't worry. This is not rejection. This is Apple's new censorship mechanism.
  2. "other" can be understood as a review strategy for the developer's account. After the account is reviewed, start manual review.
  3. If you encounter the "other" treatment method under the condition of ensuring that the account is clean and compliant, keep the App status unchanged, wait in the background, and then submit a complaint.
  4. After Apple's account is reviewed, enter the manual App review and modify it according to the modification method.

A bitter history is attached ⬇️
